Federal sources tell True Pundit that FBI agents who interviewed Omar Mateen’s wife Noor Salman since Sunday’s attack, spent today testifying to a federal grand jury seeking the indictment of the killer’s spouse.
Her arrest is expected, based on the Grand Jury’s finding. Federal agents said it is unlikely she will walk away from this unscathed legally.
Though Salman has been a cooperating witness, sources said, FBI agents still believe she has not told authorities every detail leading to the terrorist attack. An indictment and subsequent arrest, prosecutors believe, would motivate Mateen’s wife to fully cooperate or face a trial as an alleged accessory to mass murder. That charge carries a potential death sentence.
Sources said Salman knew her husband planned to attack the nightclub yet did nothing to try and stop him.
