DNC Chairman Tom Perez: Donna Brazile’s claims about Hillary Clinton’s health are ‘ludicrous’

Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez said it is “ludicrous” to question Hillary Clinton’s health during the 2016 election after former interim DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile revealed she considered replacing Clinton after she fainted in New York City.

“The charge that Hillary Clinton was somehow incapacitated is quite frankly ludicrous,” Perez told NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday. “Hillary Clinton was a tireless senator, a tireless secretary of state, and a tireless candidate.”

In her new book, Brazile said she considered replacing Clinton and running mate Tim Kaine with then-Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., after Clinton fainted at a Sept. 11, 2016, ceremony in New York City.

Brazile also said she felt Clinton’s campaign was “anemic” and had “the odor of failure.”
