A number of Congressional Democrats expressed their disappointment in the Obama administration’s decision not to veto a U.N. Security Council measure pushing for an end to Israeli settlements Friday.
Incoming-Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York said he discussed the matter with the administration on numerous occasions, encouraging them to block the resolution, The Hill reports.
“I am strongly opposed to the U.N. putting pressure on Israel through one-sided resolutions. An abstention is not good enough. The Administration must veto this resolution,” he said in statement. – READ MORE
