Earlier this month, six House Democrats introduced five articles of impeachment against President Trump for violating the Constitution.
They said Trump obstructed justice when he fired former FBI Director James Comey and has undermined two of America’s key institutions — the courts and the press — in dangerous ways.
“Given the magnitude of the constitutional crisis, there’s no reason for delay,” said Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN), the sponsor of the resolution.
Of course, there will never be a vote on the matter, as Republicans control both the House and the Senate. But that hasn’t stopped Democrats from trying to raise cash over the preposterous idea.
On Sunday, the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC) sent out a fundraising plea that touts the impeachment of Trump.
