In a move blamed on consistent “over-sentencing in our prisons,” President Obama just announced the largest single-day grant of commutations for federal inmates in the history of the United States and apparently he’s not done yet according to comments posted to his Facebook page:
“Altogether, I’ve commuted more sentences than the past nine presidents combined, and I am not done yet.”
Shortly after the announcement, the President took to twitter to boast about the new record. We’re not sure exactly when the early release of criminals being held for federal crimes became something to be bragged about but we’ll go along for the ride. – READ MORE
