A mandatory freshman literature course on the works of Aristotle, Plato, and other Greco-Roman thinkers is under fire from student activists at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. In a word, the course is “too white.”

The class, Humanities 110 — the only required course for first-year students — is described in the course syllabus on the Reed College website.
