CNN, Fake News And Trump Protesters

(Daily Caller) In his first press conference since the election, President-Elect Donald Trump called CNN reporter Jim Acosta “fake news” and refused to take his questions. In so doing, Trump once again effectively turned the Democrats’ own tactics against them. The whole “fake news” meme was initiated by Democrats following the elections, when they scrambled to blame anyone but themselves for their massive electoral failures. We the People were supposedly tricked into supporting Trump because we ignorantly listened to “fake news” sites like Breitbart and The Daily Caller.

But We the People are actually not that stupid and have chafed for decades at the blatantly biased, sometimes even treasonous fake news regularly served up by the mainstream media. One short report by CNN provides a good example. On the very same day as Trump’s post-election press conference, CNN published a short article titled What do anti-Trump protesters want? Here are five key demands. The article lists the demands as though they are the spontaneous inspiration of everyday Americans alarmed at Trump’s victory. But nothing could be further from the truth. Here are the most revealing three.

Dump Trump.

CNN explains that, “For some, it’s a catchy way to sum up their rage about the President-elect.But others are taking things a step further, signing an online petition and writing letters to members of the Electoral College, asking them not to vote the way their states did at the polls.”

Garbage.

Dump Trump‘s official site is a Facebook page created and run by none other than Angelo Carusone, President of Media Matters for America. MMFA, for those of you who don’t know, is a Democrat propaganda organ created to “fact check” conservatives and Republicans by posting biased criticisms intended to discredit the conservative message. It is essentially a nonstop OpEd passing itself off as news, a lot like that infamous smear factory, the Southern Poverty Law Center.

How did CNN miss this?

Build Bridges, Not Walls.

“At protests in Miami, demonstrators held signs that said, ‘build bridges, not walls,’ taking aim at Trump’s oft-touted plan to build a wall along the US-Mexico border.”

According to CNN, that explains everything… Not quite.

In June 2016, before the anti-Trump protests gained any traction, a non-profit organization called Building Bridges, Not Walls was founded by Antonio Villaraigosa, the former head of the Democratic National Committee.

How did CNN miss this?

So protesters are parroting messages created by top Democrats. Is this just coincidence? Couldn’t CNN have spent just five minutes researching these messages? No, because it is fake news designed to push the Democrats’ latest narratives.

In addition to his Democrat Party leadership roles, Villaraigosa has a radical extremist pedigree. He worked closely for years with the California Communist Party. In college he led the radical Mexican separatist group MEChA, and traveled to Cuba with the Venceremos Brigade – an organization founded by Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) that ostensibly brought young radicals to Cuba to harvest sugar cane and witness socialism up close. It’s true purpose was to recruit radicals like Obama pal, Bill Ayers to work for Cuban intelligence.

Of course, today, Villaraigosa is considered a “mainstream” Democrat. So it is not surprising that CNN should be promoting the extremist messages of the next group.

Not My President.

CNN lists this as an innocent Facebook invitation for protesters who say, “We do not respect the fact that Trump is president of the United States.”

Not My President is actually a message coined by the anarchist group, A World Without Police. The group clearly states that its protest has little to do with Trump, or even police, but rather the age-old communist goal to destroy capitalist society:

“We believe police violence and exploitation cannot be ended through reforms (better trained, better monitored, more friendly cops) but only with the total abolition of the police as an institution. As we explain on The Problem page, this is because police forces maintain the inequalities of capitalist society, and will continue to be violent and racist as long as they exist…

“For these reasons, we build our movement with police abolition as a goal, while recognizing that our struggle includes the total abolition of the state and capital.” (Emphasis added.)

So CNN is actually pushing the goals of the most extremist lunatic fringe elements in our society. Is it possible that the editors overlooked this?

On Thursday, January 19, the Capital Research Center released America Under Siege: Civil War 2017, featuring veteran researcher Trevor Loudon, that exposes the radicals behind the anti-Trump protests. It is the first in a new series available from the Center titled Dangerous Documentaries. This is the violent, subversive underbelly of the Democratic Party and its media allies. And unlike CNN and other fake news outlets, which claim that Russian leader Vladimir Putin manipulated the election to favor Donald Trump, this documentary reveals a network of communists, anarchists and Islamists with real, genuine connections to Putin and the Russian government.

These groups are now brazenly showing their colors. Herein lies the true message. Anti-Trump protests are not really about Trump. They openly state their goals: the violent overthrow of our free-market, capitalist republic. This is what the communists, anarchists and Islamists have always wanted. Now they have media and the Democrats on their side.

CNN Chairman Jeff Zucker whined about Trump, saying, “It’s just unfortunate that the most powerful person in the world is trying to delegitimize journalism and an organization that plays such a vital role in our democracy.”

Mr. Zucker, what goes around comes around. If you want to be taken seriously, quit trying to deceive the public and become a responsible, unbiased, news source.
