Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Sunday that President Trump “demeans the presidency” and “doesn’t get anything done” because of his Twitter use.
The New York Democrat was responding on NBC’s “Meet the Press” to a tweet in which Trump criticized his position on the Iran nuclear deal. Schumer said he supports keeping the deal while enacting new sanctions regarding Iran’s missile development and support of Hezbollah.
“The president, as usual, he’s tweeting away but just like with Russia he hasn’t even enacted these sanctions,” Schumer said.
