Although he is no fan of President Donald Trump, musician Bruce Springsteen admits that he is confident in the president’s re-election bid in 2020.
“I don’t see anyone out there at the moment … the man who can beat Trump, or the woman who can beat Trump,” the outspoken leftist said in an interview released over the weekend.
“You need someone who can speak some of the same language [as Trump] … and the Democrats don’t have an obvious, effective presidential candidate.”
Springsteen even gave President Trump some credit.
He said the president has been able to get crossover votes and resonate with working class voters more effectively than Democrats. He also explained why he thought many people became Trump voters, mentioning the “severe blow to working people in the 1970s and 1980s as all the steel mills shut down.”- READ MORE
