Brown University has announced an on-campus job posting for a student to become the new “campus resource and advocate for undocumented and DACA students,” according to the school’s official website.
As the undocumented/DACA undergraduate programmer, the student would not only be an advocate for illegal immigrants and DACA students, but would also manage a program that features the experiences of those undocumented students. The programmer would also be in charge of fundraising events to benefit those students.
“Amid student calls on the administration to better support undocumented students, especially in light of the Trump presidency, the University launched the undocumented student initiative to institutionalize resources for affected students last semester,” the news release said.
