Black Director Slams #OscarsSoWhite, Says ‘Stop Complaining’

Academy Award-nominated director Lee Daniels has blasted the “Oscars So White” movement in an interview, claiming that artists in the industry should “go out and do the work” rather than complain about the lack of representation at the Academy Awards.

In a recent interview with The New York Times on his upcoming Fox series “Star”, the director was sent into frustration after mentioning last year’s #OscarsSoWhite controversy.
