Attorney General Loretta Lynch on Sunday said she’s never spoken with President Obama about the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of State.
“We’ve never discussed the Clinton case,” Lynch said on “Fox News Sunday.”
“I’ve never spoken about it with the president or really anyone at the White House. That’s not the kind of relationship that I have with the people there, and it would be inappropriate to do so.”
Lynch said Sunday that the president’s endorsement of Clinton, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, does not create a conflict of interest for her or for the Justice Department — although she is an appointee of the president.
