The Justice Department filed charges on Monday against a 25-year-old woman accused of stealing Top Secret information and providing it to an online news outlet.

NSA Didn’t Have To Try Very Hard To Catch The Alleged Leaker

The 25-year-old government contractor who allegedly leaked top secret National Security Agency (NSA) documents to a news outlet didn’t do a very good job trying to cover her tracks.

The document obtained by The Intercept “appeared to be folded and/or creased,” according to a Justice Department legal complaint filed Monday, suggesting the documents were printed out and mailed to the news outlet.

NSA officials quickly found that Winner and five others had access to the document. Emails between Winner and an Intercept contact gave the government the evidence it needed for a warrant to search her home. –  READ MORE

NSA Leaker Is A Bernie Supporter Who ‘Resists’ Trump

The 25-year-old woman who stole “Top Secret” documents from the National Security Agency and leaked them to The Intercept appears to be a supporter of Bernie Sanders and other progressive icons, such as Bill Maher and Michael Moore.

Reality Leigh Winner’s apparent social media footprint also shows that she is a supporter of other liberal causes, including the Women’s March and the Islamic Society of North America, the Muslim civil rights group.

She also recently referred to President Trump as a “piece of shit” because of his position on the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) protests. – READ MORE

NSA Leaker: ‘Being White Is Terrorism’

The woman charged by the Department of Justice with stealing “Top Secret” information from the National Security Agency apparently believes being white is a form of terrorism.

That’s according to a tweet the alleged leaker, Reality Winner, sent in February. Winner, who is herself white, tweeted at rapper Kanye West that he should make a shirt declaring whiteness an act of terror.

The majority of her recent tweets are angrily directed against President Donald Trump, in particular rehashing the liberal trope about “tiny hands.” She has also called the president an “orange fascist,” a “cunt” and bashed his selection of “Confederate General” Jeff Sessions amounts to racism. Sessions is head of the agency currently prosecuting Winner. – READ MORE

Report: NSA Document Outlines Russian Hacking Campaign Just Before 2016 Election

Russian military intelligence carried out a last-ditch hacking campaign against U.S. election infrastructure in the days leading up to the 2016 presidential election, according to a top secret intelligence document.

The National Scrutiny Agency analysis, which was provided anonymously to The Intercept Monday and independently authenticated, is the most specific U.S. government account of Russian interference in the election that has been reported to date. It details the extent to which Russian cyber intelligence operatives may have penetrated various elements of the election system, including VR Systems, a Florida-based provider of electronic voting services and equipment used in eight states. – READ MORE

NSA Leaks Contradict What Obama Promised The Public About Russia’s Election Meddling

Leaked NSA documents revealing that Russia engaged in election-related hacking efforts just days before the election directly contradict what former President Barack Obama told the American public.

Speaking at a year-end news conference in December, Obama told the public that Russian interference in the election ceased after he told Russian President Vladimir Putin to “cut it out” in early September. Russia’s cyberattacks stopped after warnings of “serious consequences” if they continued, Obama said. – READ MORE
