They are upping the campaign ante: The Libertarian Party has formally requested that the General Services Administration designate Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson and running mate William Weld as “eligible candidates” under the Presidential Transition Act of 1963.
The designation would entitle the pair to receive national security briefings, among other things.
The Libertarians maintain in a letter to the federal agency that both Mr. Johnson and Mr. Weld have met requirements specified in the Constitution for “office of the President.” They now appear on ballots in all 50 states and have ” demonstrated a significant level of public support in national public opinion polls. – READ MORE
