By using a brand of laptop the State Department has banned since 2006 due to its ties to the Chinese government, a Hillary Clinton lawyer may have exposed the former secretary of state’s emails to Chinese hackers.
Heather Samuelson, a Clinton aide who had access to the private email server used during Clinton’s time as secretary of state, helped decide which emails would be designated as personal messages and which would be considered work-related.
Samuelson used two laptops made by Lenovo, which may have provided an opportunity for potential Chinese hacks, as Lenovo has ties to the Chinese government and for years has sold laptops with malware pre-installed on the computer. – READ MORE
