Tucker Goes Off: ‘It’s Not A Constitutional Crisis When The Constitution Allows You To Do It’ (VIDEO)

Fox News host and Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson had some choice words for liberal journalists and pundits hyperventilating about a “constitutional crisis” over President Donald Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey.

Carlson said, “Let’s get one thing clear: it’s not a constitutional crisis when the Constitution allows you to do it.”

As pointed out by Comey himself, the FBI director can be fired at any time by the president, for cause or not. Carlson argued Comey was fired for cause.

“Politicians sometimes screw up, and when they do voters get to fire them in elections,” Carlson said. “But when an unelected bureaucrat with a 10-year term, who commands his own army and can put you in prison, what do you do when a guy like that goes off the rails? That’s a real problem. In fact, it’s the real ‘threat to democracy’ people on television are always lecturing the rest of us about. That’s where we were as of yesterday morning with Comey running the FBI. Now that’s been fixed. So no matter how you feel about Trump, you ought to be happy about that.”
