President Trump said that the head of Asian technology giant Foxconn told him “off the record” that Foxconn may up to $30 billion in the U.S.

Trump made the comments while speaking at a White House small business event on Tuesday. Trump announced last week that Foxconn will invest roughly $10 billion in Wisconsin to build a manufacturing facility that is expected to create up to 13,000 jobs in the state.

Trump said Tuesday that Foxconn CEO Terry Gou “told me off the record — he thinks he may go $30 billion.”

“But he told me that off the record, so I promised I wouldn’t tell anyone,” Trump added. “That’s called big business, by the way.”

Trump said at the event last week that Foxconn’s investment will create at minimum 3,000 jobs, “with the potential for up to 13,000 in very near future.” The president said that the construction “represents the return of electronic manufacturing to the United States.”
