President Trump slammed the NFL early Wednesday for its decision to “not force” players to stand for “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
“The NFL has decided that it will not force players to stand for the playing of our National Anthem. Total disrespect for our great country!” Trump tweeted.
The president’s tweets come the day after the NFL commissioner and owners convened for their annual fall meeting in New York City.
In a statement on Tuesday afternoon, the NFL and the NFLPA said that owners and players had “a productive meeting” to focus on how to “work together” and “promote positive social change and address inequality in our communities.” – READ MORE
