Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, the hard-charging former military man who made headlines when he gave an impassioned speech for President-elect Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention this summer, will be Trump’s national security adviser, The Hill reports.
Flynn, a top surrogate of Trump’s, has also been the president-elect’s military adviser throughout the presidential campaign. While his name had always been among the foremost in consideration for the position, Wednesday’s announcement seemed to settle the matter in Flynn’s favor.
Another positive sign for Flynn’s chances was an appearance by Trump aide Jason Miller on Fox News Wednesday night, in which he said that the former Army lieutenant general would be a “fantastic addition” to the Trump administration. – READ MORE
