President Trump is questioning whether James Comey broke the law by leaking memos about his White House conversations and is calling the former FBI chief “cowardly.”

“I believe the James Comey leaks will be far more prevalent than anyone ever thought possible. Totally illegal? Very ‘cowardly!’” Trump wrote on Twitter.

The tweet shows that Trump is still occupied with testimony Comey gave on Thursday alleging that Trump asked him to back off of an investigation of former national security adviser Michael Flynn. Comey testified under oath that he felt uncomfortable in that Feb. 14 Oval Office meeting.

Comey testified that after he was fired by Trump on May 9, he gave a friend copies of memos that he took following the Feb. 14 meeting and others with Trump. Comey said he instructed his friend, a Columbia law professor, to give the memos to The New York Times.

Comey’s claims in the memo has led to allegations from Democrats that Trump improperly interfered in the Flynn investigation and may have obstructed justice.

Trump denied Comey’s claims in a press conference on Friday, saying “no collusion, no obstruction, he’s a leaker.”

He also said that “100 percent” he would be willing to testify under oath to rebut Comey.

Trump did not explain why he believes that Comey has leaked additional information.
