“We’re at the smallest number of Democratic members of our caucus since 1929,” Ryan said.

“We’ve lost 68 seats since 2010 and we have the smallest number of Democratic office holders in the state and federal level since just after the Civil War.

“So we’ve got a make a change and I think the American people asked us to make a change and we need to do it in our Democratic caucus,” Ryan said.
