Teen charged with aiding ISIS plotted attacks in NC

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A new indictment has been handed down in the case of a Burke County man accused of murdering a neighbor and plotting to kill others in the name of ISIS.

The new indictment provides more information about Justin Sullivan’s contacts with someone he allegedly wanted to recruit to join him in the attacks.

Sullivan was 19 when he was charged by federal agents with plotting to kill as many as 1000 people in the name of ISIS.

Melissa Owen is an attorney who does not have a role in the case. She did agree to review the new indictment and said it is significant because it indicates the investigation is still ongoing.

“As the Government continues to investigate their case, they believe there are other additional charges that can or should be brought,” she said. – READ MORE
