Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT) are reportedly concerned that Apple “may be enabling the Chinese government’s censorship and surveillance.”
In a letter sent to Apple CEO Tim Cook, Cruz and Leahy expressed concern over Apple’s removal of VPN applications from the company’s store in Communist China.
“VPNs allows users to access the uncensored internet in China and other countries that restrict internet freedom,” the two senators declared. “If these reports are true, we are concerned that Apple may be enabling the Chinese government’s censorship and surveillance of the internet.” – READ MORE
