RESPECT: Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins WILL Visit The White House

The NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins say they will not give in to pressure from leftists, and will visit the White House to celebrate their Stanley Cup win later this year.

The team, which committed to the visit after winning the coveted trophy last June, says nothing has changed in light of the President’s comments, condemning professional football players who kneel in protest during the national anthem. They accepted the invitation, the Penguins say, and they will honor the “long tradition” of championship teams visiting with the president.

The team released a statement Sunday morning, driving their point home.

“Any agreement or disagreement with a president’s politics, policies or agenda can be expressed in other ways,” the team’s statement read. “However, we very much respect the rights of other individuals and groups to express themselves as they see fit.” – READ MORE
