Despite being unable to land a job in the NFL, Colin Kaepernick, the initiator of the national anthem protests, is reportedly being recruited by a Hollywood casting director.
Victoria Thomas, a well-known casting director in the film industry, posted a request last week on a message board for managers and agents asking for a representative of Kaepernick to contact her, according to TMZ.
Thomas is currently working on the movie inspired by the Pepsi commercial character “Uncle Drew.”
It has been speculated that Thomas might be seeking out Kaepernick to appear in the 2018 comedy, whose cast so far includes NBA All-Star Kyrie Irving, former NBA pro Shaquille O’Neal and comedians Nick Kroll and LilRel Howery, the U.K. Daily Mail reported.
