Pro-Trump Group Cancels 67 Rallies Due To Safety Concerns

Pro-Trump organization ACT For America officially canceled 67 rallies in 36 states in favor of safer online-only events, according to a Monday press release.

“ACT for America is deeply saddened that in today’s divisive climate, citizens cannot peacefully express their opinion without risk of physical harm from terror groups domestic and international,” the group said in a statement released to Breitbart Monday.

ACT For America is a pro-Trump organization that “focuses on educating, engaging, and mobilizing citizens and elected officials to impact legislative outcomes to protect America,” according to its website.

Officials cited security concerns as the chief motivating factor behind the decision, as groups like Antifa, neo-Nazis, and others have taken over similar rallies in an attempt to advance their own agendas.

Libertarian and conservative groups scheduled a free speech rally in Boston last Saturday, but Black Lives Matter, the KKK, and other groups on either side of the political spectrum descended on the city, eventually forcing rally attendees to leave more than an hour early under police protection.

Gizmodo asserted there was another reason for moving the events to an online forum: Only two people who RSVP’ed on to the Baton Rouge and Sebring, Florida events, seven people interested in attending an event in New Jersey, and eight people who planned to attend a rally in Boston.
