Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, will soon join a growing list of universities with a vending machine that dispenses the contraceptive drug Plan B, according to WFXT-TV.
The student group Brandeis Pro-Choice sought to install the machine to dispense the so-called morning-after pill and will do so with a $5,000 grant from Planned Parenthood.
“We heard of other schools that had similar type of vending machines that vend Plan B and we realize there’s just really a gap to access that service here,” Brandeis Pro-Choice president Susannah Miller told WFXT.
Miller argued that access to Plan B is important for victims of sexual assault.
