Obama’s Israel Snub Is Nothing New, He Has Been Doing It For 8 Years

President Barack Obama’s decision to allow a United Nations resolution condemning Israeli settlements pass Dec. 23 is the latest in a string of adversarial incidents between him and one of America’s closest allies.

Obama’s very first meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu set an adversarial tone between the two. Israel’s ambassador to the U.S. from 2009 to 2013, Michael Oren, said in 2015 that one of the core principles of the U.S.-Israeli relationship was “no surprises.” Yet, Oren noted that Obama “discarded it in his first meeting with Mr. Netanyahu” by reportedly “abruptly demanding a settlement freeze.” – READ MORE
