New Report Shows That The United States Is Facing Largest Islamic Threat Since 9/11
A recent surge of attacks in 2015 and 2016 has the United States facing its highest threat from radical Islamic terrorist attacks since 9/11.
The House Homeland Security Committee released its December Terror Threat Snapshot on Tuesday showing that since the 2001 attacks the U.S. has seen 227 homegrown jihadist cases, and 115 of those happened in the last two years alone.
That threat was predicted to persist into 2017, as the Islamic State group’s message has shifted from joining the jihad in Syria and Iraq to actually carrying out attacks in fighters’ home countries. – READ MORE
