Mainly Muslim militias in the Central African Republic gave the government two days to release members imprisoned in the capital, Bangui, or face “robust action” in areas under their control.

The militias, known as Seleka, took the decision after holding a crisis meeting and it’s non-negotiable, Abdoulaye Hissen, a leader of the group, said by phone from Kaga-Bandoro, a town about 245 kilometers (152 miles) north of Bangui. – READ MORE
