National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster used some colorful words to describe President Donald Trump during a private dinner with a tech CEO, five sources have told Buzzfeed News.
In a July dinner with Oracle CEO Safra Catz, McMaster reportedly described Trump as an “idiot” and a “dope.” Four of the sources who spoke with Buzzfeed heard details of the conversation directly from Catz. McMaster also described Trump as having the intelligence of a “kindergartner.”
A sixth source also spoke with Buzzfeed about similar comments they heard directly from McMaster:
A sixth source who was not familiar with the details of the dinner told BuzzFeed News that McMaster had made similarly derogatory comments about Trump’s intelligence to him in private, including that the president lacked the necessary brainpower to understand the matters before the National Security Council.
