Manchester Police Frantically Searching For Possible Second Bomb

Manchester police are frantically looking for a second possible bomb left by Salman Abedi after finding a bomb-making workshop at Abedi’s home.

After investigators examined Abedi’s home and found the bomb-making workshop Thursday, as of Friday, they believe that Abedi may have made a second bomb, which is missing, Fox News reports.

This device may be in the hands of his fellow jihadis.

Abedi triggered the suicide bomb Monday night at Manchester Arena. The explosion killed 22 people and injured 119 others.

Since Monday, police have been performing arrests and conducting raids to crack down on anyone who may have had ties to Abedi. On Friday, Greater Manchester police arrested a 30-year-old man they believe had some connection to Abedi.

At this point, police have arrested a total of 10 people and released two, leaving eight in police hands.

It isn’t known whether anyone in the network surrounding Abedi helped him manufacture the bomb. While officials have told The New York Times that the complexity of the bomb suggests some help, another source told Reuters that it’s entirely possible Abedi constructed the device himself using skills he learned in Libya.

Abedi was known to intelligence services because of his radical views, as is quite common with other cases of terror. In fact, both British and French intelligence services knew he had spent some time in Syria.
