Lena Dunham, who said women don’t lie about rape, defends ‘Girls’ writer accused of rape

Liberal actress Lena Dunham came out to forcefully defend her “Girls” writer from accusations that he raped an actress, but some are throwing back in her face a tweet where she said women never lie about rape.

She tweeted in August, “Things women do lie about: what they ate for lunch. Things women don’t lie about: rape.”

Her friend Murray Miller is being accused by actress Aurora Perrineau of rape when she was underage. She is now 23 years old.

Rather than believe the accusations, Dunham is defending Miller, who is a former executive producer and writer on her HBO show, “Girls.”
