Kindergarten student brings 30 bags of heroin to school
She was in for a rude awakening when she realized her 5-year-old kindergarten student had brought 30 packets of heroin to school Monday, officials said.
The 5-year-old boy, a student at the International Academy of Trenton on the 700 block of Bellevue Avenue, was playing with a white packet that his teacher thought was a candy wrapper, police spokesman Lt. Varn said.
The teacher told the student to put the packet away. When the student pulled it back out, the teacher confiscated it and realized it was a packet of heroin. She then looked in his lunchbox and found 29 more packets of the potent street drug which has led to countless overdose deaths across the nation. – READ MORE
