ISPs must get permission to share Internet users’ private browsing history

ISPs must now tell customers what kind of data they are collecting and with whom they share that information, and must get an affirmative “opt-in” before being able to share browsing history, what apps are being used, or the contents of any communications.

 

Consumers will also be allowed to opt out of having less sensitive information, such as the level of Internet service they have, shared, the FCC said. – READ MORE
