Fears of second 9/11 as nearly 200 suspected terrorists try to board international flights

Some 193 people were stopped from boarding planes as part of an international operation cracking down on airline fraud, from October 10-15.

The suspects had obtained tickets using stolen, fake or compromised credit card details, and over the course of the days 350 suspicious transactions were flagged up.

Around the world 189 airports in 43 countries were involved, using 75 airlines and eight online travel agencies.

European officers from Frontex were stationed at 20 airports to help sniff out the potential terrorists and criminals trying to sneak into countries.  – READ MORE
