The Washington Post editorial Chapman linked to rails against an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that repeals the bipartisan Broadcasting Board of Governors, which serves as a buffer between the government and the state-run media outlets Voice of America and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. The board will be replaced with a chief executive appointed by the president with an advisory panel filled with members that are also presidential appointments.
