Facebook CEO said Thursday he will turn over to Congress the contents of 3,000+ ads bought by Russian operatives during the 2016 presidential election.
Wait, a couple weeks ago Facebook officials and Zuckerberg said there were only a handful of ads purchased by Russians.
Now that number is 3,000 plus?
Zuckerberg, who just returned today from maternity leave, plead his case today on a Facebook Live segment of why he is cooperating with Congress and the FBI assigned to U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.
You can be confident that 3,000 ad number will continue to grow in the coming weeks. Zuckerberg left the door open today on that matter, hinting 3,000 is perhaps an early estimate of the number of ads Facebook sold to Russian concerns trying to tilt the election.
