Paris police are said to be on the scene after a train station called Marne la Vallée-Chessy near the American owned theme park was cordoned off.

Armed officers with “assault rifles” are said to be investigating after a “suspect package” was found.

France remains in a state of emergency which was declared in November after the deadly attacks by jihadist militants in Paris.

Subsequent attacks in Nice and Normandy have also led to a major terror crackdown.

One local resident called Lisa said: “It seems to be the train station. All taped off and police everywhere. Stay safe. We are in village.”

Another man called Ben said: “I just left Disneyland Paris on a very crowded bus after being redirected by soldiers with assault rifles away from the bus station.”

Earlier this year French police arrested a man carrying two guns at an entrance to a hotel at Disneyland Paris.

The 28-year-old was also discovered with a copy of the Koran and a box of ammunition in January.

His bag triggered metal detectors as he entered the New York Hotel which is close by.

Two weeks ago on Wednesday 20 July traffic was interrupted at the station over a suspicious package. – READ MORE
