A UK supreme court judge has warned that British Prime Minister Theresa May might have to fully replace all existing EU legislation before the government even begins the Brexit process, with concerns this could delay the UK’s exit from the EU for years.
Lady Brenda Hale said a “simple Act of parliament” might not be sufficient to trigger Article 50, which would formally set Britain’s divorce proceedings in motion.
