You won’t find this intelligence gem in the politically-correct and watered-down House Benghazi Committee report.
President Obama lied. Hillary Clinton lied. Susan Rice lied. And anyone else, like Vice President Joe Biden, who blamed the terrorist attacks against the U.S. Consulate and CIA annex in Benghazi on a radical, inflammatory, Anti-Muslim YouTube video, well, they lied too.
True Pundit has unearthed the smoking gun that proves the Obama administration, the White House and Hillary Clinton and her State Dept. staff at Foggy Bottom knew almost immediately from Dept. of Defense intelligence cables that the Benghazi attacks were premeditated and planned ten days before the Sept. 11, 2012 deadly offensives.
A Defense Intelligence Agency cable dated September 12, 2012 and distributed while Americans were still under siege in Benghazi, specifically names the al Qaeda and Muslim Brotherhood-linked “Brigades of the Captive Omar Abdul Rahman” (BCOAR) as the faction responsible for the uprising. Rahman is also called the Blind Sheikh. The charismatic Muslim cleric, who wore sunglasses and a Santa-type cap, is serving life in prison for his involvement in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and other terrorist acts. (I helped arrest Rahman but that is another story).
There is never any mention whatsoever regarding any inflammatory YouTube video. What the DIA cable does detail is a carefully planned siege on the U.S. compounds by the BOCAR terrorists whose goal was “to kill as many Americans as possible.” The heavily redacted cable, in part, reads:
The attack was planned ten or more days prior on approximately 01 September 2012. The intention was to attack the consulate and to kill as many Americans as possible to seek revenge for U.S. killing of Aboyahiye ((ALALIBY)) in Pakistan and in memorial of the 11 September 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center buildings.
“A violent radical,” the DIA Intel report highlights, is “the leader of BCOAR is Abdul Baset ((AZUZ)), AZUZ was sent by ((ZAWARI)) to set up Al Qaeda (AQ) bases in Libya.” The radical group’s base of operations was built with approval of a “member of the Muslim brother hood movement…where they have large caches of weapons. Some of these caches are disguised by feeding troughs for livestock. They have SA-7 and SA-23/4 MANPADS…they train almost every day focusing on religious lessons and scriptures including three lessons a day of jihadist ideology.”
The DIA document, absent the heavy redaction, was sent directly to then-Secretary of State Clinton, then-Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Obama White House National Security Council, as well as to the president and dozens of other key personnel including military brass.
This clear and definitive classified intelligence was in their hands a mere hours after the attacks commenced. Yet this group concocted a story blaming an inflammatory and incendiary YouTube video, made by an American, for sparking the Anti-American terrorism in Egypt and then Benghazi, The DIA intelligence cable, however, proves now more than ever before that the YouTube construct was a blatant lie sold to the American people. It obviously did not work.
Four Americans died in the 2012 Benghazi attack: Ambassador Christopher Stevens, Information Officer Sean Smith, and two CIA operatives, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods, both former Navy SEALs.
