Celebrities are rallying around a sex trafficking victim turned convicted murderer who’s in jail for life for killing a man who paid her for sex when she was 16.
Cyntoia Brown, now 29, was sentenced to life in prison in 2004 for fatally shooting Nashville TN realtor, Johnny Allen, Fox 17 reported.
Brown was a runaway who was forced into prostitution by a man nicknamed Kutthroat. Before she was sold to Allen, she said she was drugged and raped and testified that she shot the realtor out of fear he would kill her.
Prosecutors argued her motivation was robbery since the teen swiped Allen’s wallet and gun after shooting him, and she was sentenced to 51 years to life for first degree murder, aggravated robbery and prostitution.
