President-elect Donald Trump received nearly triple the amount of votes from Muslims in the 2016 election than Republican nominee Mitt Romney got in 2012, a poll released Tuesday by the Council on American-Islamic Relations reveals.
The CAIR exit poll of more than 2,000 registered Muslim voters found that 74 percent voted for Hillary Clinton and 13 percent voted for Trump. CAIR’s 2012 exit poll showed 85.7 percent of Muslims voted for President Barack Obama and 4.4 percent voted for Romney. – READ MORE
