A who’s who of Hillary Clinton-supporting starlets has partnered with the Women’s March on Washington to protest President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration.
The march announced on Monday a list of celebrities who have joined its Artist Table, including comediennes Amy Schumer and Chelsea Handler, actresses Olivia Wilde and Scarlett Johansson, and singers Katy Perry and Cher — all of whom backed Hillary Clinton in the presidential race.
The march will happen in Park City, Utah, which is where they’ll all be that week for the Sundance Film Festival. It’s just their way of showing they’re in touch with the lives and concerns of ordinary Americans.
It’s pretty crafty of Handler, Johansson, and the rest of them to stage an intervention for their pal Amy like this. Working out and burning calories can be such a chore, but they’ve figured out how to make it fun. “C’mon, get up off the couch, we’re marching for women’s rights! We’re gonna stop Donald Trump! Up and at ’em!” They should hold a march every single day until she pulls herself back together.
Also, this march will make everybody who disagrees with them suddenly agree with them. That’s how a march works.
