During a Senate hearing, United States Pacific Commander Admiral Harry Harris agreed with the president and said that “ISIS is a clear threat that must be defeated.”
He testified that “it’s clear” United States military operations in the Middle East continue to deny ISIS from gaining territory.
However, the heavy assault on terrorist threats hasn’t been free from consequences. On April 26, Harris told the House Armed Services Committee that “critical munitions shortfalls are [his] top warfighting concern.”
